BIM Modeler II
The BIM Modeler II provides modeling efforts for project delivery and standards, working with the production team and the Lead Modeler/Supervisor to produce accurate and efficient models with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform all tasks of a BIM Modeler I.
- Collaborate with the Lead Modeler/Supervisor to develop Revit families for revised standards or specific project needs.
- Efficiently model and document the project in accordance with REI Standards.
- Translate layout and field details into Revit following REI standards.
- Lead modeling efforts on assigned scope.
- Set up Revit views, view templates, and filters in line with Rosendin Standards.
- Document progress of assigned work pursuant to project standards.
- Adhere to confidentiality and non‑disclosure requirements and protect Proprietary Company Intellectual Property.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree in Computerized Drafting preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical symbols and drafting conventions and standards (can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience).
- Effective self‑management skills.
- Proficiency with Revit – creating and manipulating views, browser structure, sheets, schedules, filters, and related elements.
- Ability to read 2‑D plans, electronic or hard copy, including one‑lines, lighting schedules, panel schedules, and feeder schedules.
- Knowledge of industry standard software such as Bluebeam, Autodesk Cloud products, and Navisworks.
- Ability to import documents (spreadsheets, photos, images, word files) into Revit projects.
- Strong, solutions‑oriented oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Prioritization and task management skills, able to handle changing priorities.
- Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Professional interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.
General work environment involves long periods of sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, and bending. Work is primarily indoors with conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium, but it can be loud on the jobsite. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. is required.
