Job Title:
Architectural Drafter
This role focuses on producing accurate, high-quality construction documents and architectural drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. You will collaborate closely with architects and engineers to ensure designs align with zoning, building codes, and project requirements across commercial, public works, and education projects. Responsibilities- Model and draft architectural designs in Revit and AutoCAD to produce accurate construction documents.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to ensure designs align with zoning regulations and project requirements.
- Gather all necessary information and project data to complete precise and comprehensive drawings.
- Use CAD and Revit software to draft drawings and details as directed by project leadership.
- Update existing drawing files based on redlines and feedback provided by supervisors.
- Perform limited zoning and building code research as directed, including basic building code analysis (such as IBC Chapter 5, Chapter 10, and Chapter 29).
- Coordinate the assembly of complete drawing sets, including permit and construction document sets, under the direction of a supervisor.
- Update designs and verify the accuracy and consistency of drawings and documentation.
- Develop architectural solutions under the supervision of a experienced team member or supervisor.
- Research architectural technologies and solutions for implementation into building designs under supervision.
- Assist with coordination and communication with engineering consultants under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Prepare conceptual and schematic documents, including site plans for land use submittals and colored presentations.
- Produce floor plans, including dimensional plans, furniture, fixtures and equipment layouts, and presentation drawings.
- Create exterior elevations for land use submittals, including materials, colors, and presentation-quality graphics.
- Develop building sections that depict architectural, structural, and mechanical components clearly and accurately.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter or Designer, with a preference for 5 to 10 years of experience.
- High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, at a level equivalent to 8 out of 10.
- Ability to create Revit templates from scratch.
- Experience working on construction documents, including the ability to put together complete permit sets and construction document (CD) sets.
- Experience with education, public works, or commercial projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare conceptual and schematic design documents, including site plans, floor plans, exterior elevations, and building sections.
- Capability to perform basic building code analysis, including familiarity with IBC Chapter 5, Chapter 10, and Chapter 29.
- Strong architectural drafting and design skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Proficiency in architectural design workflows using CAD and Revit software.
Skills & Qualifications
- Tenant improvement project experience (preferred).
- Experience preparing land use submittals and presentation-quality drawings.
- Ability to produce colored presentation materials for site plans and elevations.

You will work in an office of approximately 18 people in an open-format setting that encourages collaboration and communication. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., supporting a healthy work-life balance with rare overtime.
