Physician - Hospitalist

Overview

We are looking for a full-time Pediatrician with at least 1 year of experience working in a hospital.

You will work about 2,016 hours each year. You will have different shifts, which will include both working at the hospital and being on call from home.

You will care for an average of 25 to 30 patients each day. You will have support from a team of pediatric specialists, including doctors in the 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the 14-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), as well as pediatric emergency medicine doctors in the 30-bed children’s emergency room.

They welcome both experienced doctors and recent graduates who are truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) and are working toward Board Certification.

• Provide pediatric inpatient and/or emergency care according to hospital guidelines and standards.
• Collaborate with a team of pediatric specialists in PICU, CVICU, and pediatric emergency medicine.
• Manage a patient load as described (approximately 25–30 patients per day) with appropriate prioritization and follow-up.
• Participate in on-call duties from home as required by shift schedules.

• You must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 5 years of eligibility).
• You need to have a Nevada medical license (or be willing to get one).
• It is highly preferred that you have a clean history with malpractice and your medical license.
• You must have at least 1 year of current experience working as an inpatient Hospitalist.
• You will need to have a DEA license (must be obtained before starting) and a CSR/CDS license (must be obtained before starting).
