Provides comprehensive image interpretation, image-guided procedures, and patient care services within Diagnostic Radiology. May also possess additional subspecialty expertise, including interventional radiology or fellowship-trained specialization.
Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical practice experience as a radiologist
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
- Some positions may require BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS (AHA)
- Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology
- Fellowship training in specialty area
- Minimum three (3) years interpreting multiple modalities including:
- X-ray
- Mammography
- Advanced radiology equipment and imaging software
- Adult and pediatric imaging practices
- Federal, state, and accreditation regulations
- Quality assurance and performance improvement
- Hospital safety standards and infection control practices
- Emergency response procedures
- Proficiency in general diagnostic radiology
- Experience reading high-volume ER and acute inpatient cases
- Strong PACS and computer proficiency
- Effective interdisciplinary communication
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships
- Safe and effective use of imaging equipment
