Fusion HCR Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Fusion HCR is seeking a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist to join a highly respected healthcare organization. This physician will provide specialized anesthesia services for complex cardiac, thoracic, and major chest surgical procedures, working alongside multidisciplinary surgical teams in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia care for cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and related surgical procedures.
  • Manage patients undergoing procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacement, aortic surgery, minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery, and other complex cardiothoracic interventions.
  • Perform perioperative patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
  • Utilize advanced monitoring techniques, including transesophageal echocardiography and hemodynamic monitoring, as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, perfusionists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence initiatives.
  • Provide consultation and support for non-cardiac thoracic procedures, including esophageal and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgeries (VATS).
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in cardiothoracic anesthesiology preferred.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure and controlled substance prescribing authority.
