Overview
The University Of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences [R0149556].
Responsibilities- Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels; publish in refereed research journals; pursue external funding; and supervise graduate students.
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and the profession.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and mentoring students from different backgrounds and with diverse life experiences and learning styles.
Ph.D. in the Mathematical Sciences with demonstrated expertise in Algebra or a closely related field from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or CHEA. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
Preferred qualificationsPreference will be given to candidates who demonstrate commitment to excellence in both teaching and scholarly activities.
