The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Admissions Counselor / Evaluator, UNLV Enrollment Management, International Processing [R0149887]
ROLE of the POSITION
The Admission Counselor/Evaluator, reporting to the Assistant Director of Processing, is responsible for evaluating applications for admission, managing auditing reports to help expedite admissions decisions, and troubleshooting issues related to application processing. This individual also attends recruitment events as needed.
Administrative work includes reviewing and evaluating application materials and transcripts, entering data into the CRM (Salesforce) and student information system (People Soft), and working with the Degree Audit Team to ensure rapid and accurate transfer equivalency decisions. Frequent communication with Admission Counselor/Recruiters, Registrar staff, academic advisors, and applicants occurs via email and phone. This position also serves as an Admissions liaison for various advising centers to ensure a smooth enrollment process for incoming students and also to assist in any questions regarding the accuracy of an applicant's academic record.
Counseling work entails meeting with and speaking by phone to potential and current applicants explaining the admissions process, the evaluation process, standards of admission, and providing advice to constituents upon future coursework that would enable one to satisfy core requirements for entry.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 - 3 Years of Related Professional Experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements:
* In lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience, or with an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
