Position OverviewAlpha School is building an AI‑powered reading program that reimagines early literacy instruction. You will facilitate focused, high‑impact workshops instead of conventional hour‑long class sessions. Your work involves assessing student needs, developing original evidence‑based lessons without reliance on packaged curricula, and contributing to adaptive tools that extend your expertise to hundreds of learners. This position is designed for reading specialists who excel beyond rigid frameworks and are ready to advance scalable literacy solutions.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
- Creating personalized motivational experiences that engage students and nurture a lasting passion for reading
- Reviewing student performance data to iteratively improve instructional methods and generate practical insights
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and refine AI‑powered literacy platforms
- Following pre‑scripted lesson plans or using published curriculum sequences
Foster a passion for reading in early‑stage learners
Basic Requirements- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (such as Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing small‑group reading interventions to students in early elementary grades
- Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, forming instructional groups, and creating differentiated lessons independent of pre‑written materials
- Experienced with AI or adaptive learning platforms and able to respond to student interaction patterns
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship

Working with UsThis is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
