Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to volume of applications received.
- Teach transferable, entry-level lectures and/or laboratories in Majors or Non-majors Biology
- Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
Required Qualifications for teaching Lectures
- Masters degree in Biological Sciences or a closely-related field from an accredited College or University
- Experience teaching General Biology Lectures
- Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and Power Point
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
Required Qualifications for teaching Labs
- Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences or a closely-related field from an accredited College or University
- Experience teaching General Biology labs or experience in a laboratory situation
- Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and Power Point
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
Salary
$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester. $46.25 per hour for labs.
