ADM High School is seeking an Industrial Technology educator with a preference for Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Engineering endorsements for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Courses taught may include:
- PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design (IED)
- PLTW Principles of Engineering (POE)
- PLTW Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA)
- General Metals
- Small Engines
- Other Industrial Technology courses as assigned.
This position will be a 1.0 FTE at ADM High School.
ADM High School serves approximately 680 students and is located in Adel, sharing a campus with the Middle School. ADM is currently in the process of constructing a new high school facility, that will significantly expand Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities. The new building will include modern instructional spaces for Automotive Technology, Woods, and Metals; providing students with enhanced hands‑on learning environments and industry‑aligned experiences.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in encouraging student collaboration, problem‑solving, and design thinking, demonstrate a passion for Industrial Technology and engineering education, and provide students with rigorous, age‑appropriate, and hands‑on learning experiences.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of standards‑referenced grading and professional learning communities (PLCs). Applicants must be highly collaborative, demonstrate a passion for education, and have a personal philosophy of doing whatever it takes to help students be successful. Requirements- Industrial Technology Endorsement
- Preferred: PLTW Engineering Endorsements (Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture)
- A belief that each and every learner can achieve and a commitment to helping students make a positive impact on their own health and well‑being
- Knowledge of best practices in Physical Education, including current research and evidence‑based instructional strategies
- Commitment to differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities
- Highly collaborative, working with colleagues within the department and across the school
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Interest in participating in and seeking out professional learning opportunities, demonstrating reflection and growth
- Strong formative and summative assessment practices to inform instruction
- Effective record‑keeping and organizational skills
- Knowledge of and interest in using technology to enhance physical education instruction
