Job SummaryThe District School Psychologist serves as a dedicated leader, partnering with instructional leaders and families to maximize student outcomes through comprehensive evaluations, intervention recommendations, and compliance with special education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct multidisciplinary psycho educational evaluations (cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and functional), aligning with NASP best practices and APA standards.
- Lead the Evaluation Team Report (ETR) process, synthesizing research and data into clear, actionable written reports.
- Analyze student data, assisting the IEP Team in determining eligibility for Special Education services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service personnel (SLP, OT, PT, TVI, O&M).
- Provide evidence-based recommendations for interventions to help each student reach his/her potential.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Manage tasks efficiently to meet all legal timelines and district deadlines.
- Evaluate research and district data to help close achievement gaps.
- Adhere to all Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) standards and district policies.
- Licensed School Psychologist through the Ohio Board of Psychology.
- Strong diagnostic skills, excellent oral and written communication, and proficiency in various assessment tools.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Ability to travel between buildings and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass BCI/FBI background check.
