Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Assistant Professor-in-Residence of Accounting, Lee Business School [R0150611].
The anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
ROLE of the POSITIONThe Department of Accounting in the Lee Business School (LEE) invites applications for a 9‑month, full-time, non‑tenure track Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Assistant Professor-in-Residence position in Accounting. Preference is given for teaching experience or professional expertise related to financial accounting, managerial accounting, information systems and data analytics, and auditing or internal auditing. The standard teaching load for a non‑tenure track position is four courses (12 credits) per semester.
The position requires teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, with the possibility of teaching in both on‑campus and online modalities, in support of the Department of Accounting and Lee Business School degree programs.
Additional responsibilities may include advising students, engaging in service activities, and interfacing with the business community.
PROFILE of the DEPARTMENTThe Department of Accounting is supple mentally accredited by the AACSB and is one of 33 U.S. universities to be endorsed by the Institute of Internal Auditors. The department has 17 full‑time faculty members and offers both BSBA and MSA degrees in accounting. Approximately 175 BSBA and 75 MSA students graduate from UNLV’s accounting programs each year. UNLV’s accounting faculty members strive to be excellent teachers who are engaged with the accounting professional and academic communities.

The title of the position will be determined based on the candidate's educational degree and experience. This position requires a graduate degree (e.g., MS, MSA, MBA, MAcc) from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and an AACSB‑accredited business school, with an undergraduate degree in accounting or closely related business field.
