The title of the position will be determined based on the candidate's educational degree and experience. This position requires a graduate degree (e.g., MS, MSA, MBA, MAcc) from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and an AACSB-accredited business school, with an undergraduate degree in accounting or closely related business field.
Those without an undergraduate degree in accounting should have a graduate degree in accounting. In addition, candidates are required to have a minimum of five years of relevant accounting work experience and qualifications consistent with classification as an Instructional Practitioner (IP) within Lee Business School Faculty Qualification guidelines. In addition, only a candidate with a terminal business degree (i.e., Ph.D.) may be eligible for the title of Assistant Professor-in-Residence.
Doctoral candidates with an “all but dissertation” (ABD) status are encouraged to apply; however, if selected for this position, an ABD candidate would need to successfully complete their dissertation prior to the start date in order to be appointed as an Assistant Professor-in-Residence.
