Position DescriptionThe College of Southern Nevada invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Instructor position in the Hospitality Management department. This position will focus on teaching courses in Food & Beverage Management and Culinary Arts. Demonstrating teaching excellence, the successful candidate will instruct students in accordance with college policies and procedures while providing an excellent teaching experience to a diverse student body.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach a full range of Culinary Arts and/or Food and Beverage courses with differing modes of instruction including lecture, demonstration, laboratory, practical application, online, and hybrid formats.
- Present course materials in a manner that educates and engages students using effective teaching strategies.
- Develop syllabi and course materials that may be taught on‑ground, online, or hybrid.
- Provide learning activities that stimulate student involvement and encourage critical thinking.
- Effectively evaluate student performance while meeting assessment guidelines.
- Maintain regular office hours to assist students; respond to students’ emails and voicemails in a timely fashion.
- Develop a professional working relationship with other faculty and staff in the department and the college.
- Serve on college‑wide and departmental committees as needed.
- Participate in program/division meetings and activities.
- Maintain professional competencies in the subject area and currency in instructional methodologies through professional associations and professional development.
