Position: Coordinator, Volunteer Programs/The Den - Henderson
* Grant-in-Aid:

* Hiring and overseeing student staff, developing, planning and executing events out of the center.
* Managing the budget and serving as a resource to the campus community that reserves the center for various programs.
* Coordinating volunteer opportunities for CSN students and staff to connect with the Vegas Valley community.
* Foster partnerships with organizations that may serve as sites for service-learning experiences and volunteer opportunities with assistance from the Director.
* Develop and launch the True-Blue Service initiative that will set community wide service goals for CSN.
* Track service hours from members of the CSN community and help brand CSN has an organization that gives back to the community.
* Administrative duties – meetings, P-card reconciliation, etc.
* As assigned by the supervisory chain of command, participate in and/or complete special projects.
* Participate in department and campus-wide professional development programs.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field from an accredited college/university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 3 years of related or comparable professional experience.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 3 years of professional related experience.
* 1 year of experience coordinating volunteer programs or student engagement initiatives in a higher education or community service setting.
* Experience in tracking and reporting data, including volunteer hours, service-learning outcomes, and event feedback.
* Experience in event planning, program coordination, or community outreach is preferred.
* Prior experience working in student services, student development, or working with diverse student populations is highly desired.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to engage and collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students to actively participate in volunteer and service-learning opportunities.
* Proven ability to develop, implement, and assess programs and events.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
* Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
* Make decisions and take actions independently for a variety of diverse situations.
* Show a high degree of creativity and initiative.
