Odyssey Charter School is the first charter school to utilize the blended learning model in Las Vegas and the longest standing charter school in the state of Nevada. We are a public school that is sponsored by the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA). Our mix of online and in-class instruction, backed by an incredible staff, creates a K-12 educational journey that is effective and flexible enough to give kids with wide-ranging needs the foundation for success.

We are currently recruiting a full-time licensed Middle School Science Teacher for immediate hire or for the 2026/2027 school year. This position will be required to be on campus full-time.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Valid Nevada Department of Education License with an endorsement in the area of 6‑8 or 7‑12 General Science or K‑8 Teaching with Praxis exam in the area of 6th‑8th Grade Science
• Out-of-state license holders must have their NVDOE license in process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team collaboration skills
• Strong computer skills
• Understanding of effective lesson planning/course design with online instruction experience preferred
• Experience with Infinite Campus not required but preferred

• Competitive salary scale ranging from $61,412 to $118,855, placement based on previous school‑based contract amount
• $10,000 recruitment incentive for the 2026/2027 school year (first $5,000 issued in August, second $5,000 issued in January)
• Health insurance aligned with the Clark County School District
• Participation in the Nevada Public Employees Retirement System
• Licensed staff contract days: 7 hours and 11 minutes per day
• 15 sick days per year; unused accrued sick time may be carried over from previous school district or public charter school within Nevada
