Young Adult Coordinator; Part-Time

Mission

Develop a ministry that provides young adults of Canyon Ridge Christian Church opportunities to connect with each other, experience community, and be challenged to grow in disciple-making.

This role is part-time, 15-20 per week.

• Build a system that creates environments for young adults to connect, grow and develop in their relationship with God and in becoming disciple makers. Initially, this ministry’s focus is to develop young adult facilitators, point young adults to small groups, and host monthly events designed for connection.
• Develop a team that plans and executes a monthly event for young adults.
• In partnership with the engagement team - recruit, train, onboard, and empower a team of young adult small group facilitators to lead and equip young adults.
• In partnership with the Family Pastor, listen to the young adult community, research other young adult ministries, and develop a young adult ministry plan for the people of Canyon Ridge Christian Church (CRCC).
• In partnership with the Family Pastor, create quarterly trainings for Young Adult Group Facilitators.
• Participate with the full family team for training, development, and in offering contribution.

Must Have skills, experience, and leadership capacity:

• Pastoral heart with a growing and contagious relationship with Jesus.
• A broad awareness of the young adult culture here at CRCC.
• An ability to help assist people into being participants and not just spectators.
• Relationally skilled to work with a wide range of people and to be able to offer them clear and helpful next steps.
• A team-minded person with a learner attitude, always willing to try new things.
• Experience training others and or in volunteer management.
• Receive and provide feedback in helpful and loving ways.
• Proactive. Sees what needs to be done and takes initiative.
• Energetic and understands the current trends in Young Adult Ministry.

Must Have character traits, relational skills, and spiritual leadership:

• Coachable and approachable.
• History of making disciples, not just team members.
• Can immediately champion the CRCC culture and values.
• History of Servant Leader Model of leadership.
• Collaborative leader. Works with leaders and teams in other areas.
• Agreement with CRCC Doctrinal Statement.
• Embraces the Las Vegas culture and has a heart for the city.
• Relates well with others and can emotionally show up well for those around them.
