The Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the position of
** Lecturer in Urban Journalism.
** We’re looking for a veteran journalist with experience teaching reporting, in-depth storytelling, urban journalism, and freelance reporting. The School of Journalism and Media Studies has a strong commitment to collaboration and interdisciplinary instruction. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with other units in the College of Urban Affairs:
Communication Studies, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, and Social Work. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching and covering urban issues, such as lifestyles, housing, transportation, homelessness, architecture, public policy and/or tourism. This position requires a
** master’s degree in journalism or a related field
** from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and
** 1-3 years of teaching and professional experience in journalism.
** Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
