The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for assistant/associate/full professor, and Program Director, Medical Physics, Department of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences, School of Integrated Health Sciences [R0150483]. The position is a full‑time, 9‑month, tenure‑track or tenured role.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide guidance for all medical physics programs.
- Serve as the point of contact between UNLV and CAMPEP.
- Advising and mentoring medical physics students.
- Participate in clinical site visits and exams to evaluate students’ clinical competence.
- Give presentations to students about clinical physics and job opportunities.
- Engage in curriculum review.
- Establish an active research program supported by extramural funding.
- Teach in the department’s medical physics programs.
- Fulfill service duties in accordance with university criteria.
- PhD or other doctoral degree in medical physics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Certification in therapeutic medical physics by the American Board of Radiology, the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine, or another appropriate certifying agency.
- At least five years of full‑time post‑graduate experience in the field.
- Faculty rank will depend on educational credentials, experience, and scholarly achievement; assistant/associate professor (tenure‑track) or associate/professor (tenured).
