Job DescriptionDo you bring out the star in your students? Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart," and we are looking for private music instructors who share this philosophy. We strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable to as many people as possible because we believe an essential part of making the world a better, happier place is through music education.
Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for cello. Although we do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in Las Vegas, students need teachers as soon as possible. Lessons can be conducted in the student’s home, your own home or studio, or via webcam. While webcam lessons are a small percentage of our student base, most students prefer in‑person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students or are willing to travel within the Las Vegas area.
As an independent contractor, you will be paid between $20 and $30 per hour, dependent on travel time, your experience, education, and student retention rate. You have the freedom to set your own schedule, curriculum, and lesson plans, and we handle all advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing so you can focus on teaching music.
If you are great with children, love teaching, maintain good communication with our office, and are organized and punctual, Taylor Robinson Music might be the right fit for you. Formal music training is not mandatory, but either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is required.
Responsibilities- Conduct private music lessons for students in their homes, your home, or studio, with occasional webcam sessions.
- Travel to students within the Las Vegas, NV area and host students in your own space.
- Set your own schedule, curriculum, and lesson plans.
- Maintain professional communication with the Taylor Robinson Music office.
- Practice COVID‑19 precautions, including wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, and maintaining social distance when applicable.
- Required:
degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience. - Preferred: strong communication skills and experience teaching children.
- Must be an independent contractor capable of managing your own schedule and travel.
