Lecturer in Urban Journalism, Journalism and Media Studies [R0150893].
Role of the PositionPropose to teach reporting, in-depth storytelling, urban journalism, and freelance reporting. Candidate will work with units in the College of Urban Affairs and other units such as Communication Studies, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, and Social Work.
Department/College ProfileHoused in the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs, the Hank Greenspun School of Journalism and Media Studies emphasizes industry-relevant curricula, critical thinking, cultural proficiency, and experiential learning. Students participate in professional media operations including KUNV Public Radio, UNLV TV, and the Rebel Media Group Student Social Media Agency.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in journalism or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- 1‑3 years of teaching and professional experience in journalism.
