We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate BSN nursing students on‑site in Las Vegas, NV.

Course Description

Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab (BIOS-251 thru BIOS-256):
This is a four‑course sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach. Coursework emphasizes interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization.

Topics include:

  • Basic anatomical and directional terminology, muscle tissues, fundamental concepts and principles of cell biology, history and the integumentary and skeletal systems
  • Fundamental concepts and principles of the muscular and nervous systems, special senses and the endocrine system
  • Cardiovascular, immune and respiratory systems
  • Digestive, urinary and reproductive systems

Courses may meet once per week or twice a week for eight weeks. The face‑to‑face interaction in lab and classroom is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course‑by‑course basis.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide students with an approved Covista Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives.
  • Organize, prepare, and regularly revise and update all course materials.
  • Use appropriate technological options for online technologies and course‑related software, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.
  • Model effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.
  • Set clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weighting of various evaluation categories.
  • Ensure that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.
  • Demonstrate consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree required, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in anatomy, physiology, or a closely related biological science discipline.
  • Demonstrated subject‑matter expertise in human anatomy and physiology, including knowledge of body systems and their interrelationships.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
  • Excellent motivational and instructional skills with experience teaching in diverse, non‑traditional, and adult learning environments.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse student populations.
  • Experience with blended learning environments, online course delivery, and educational technology platforms.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems, course management software, and digital communication tools.
  • Experience developing course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Ability to assess student learning and adjust instructional strategies based on student performance data.
  • Flexibility and reliability in meeting course deadlines and maintaining consistent communication with students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying current with advances in anatomical and physiological science.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and institutional compliance requirements in higher education.
  • Preferred:
    Industry or clinical experience that enriches instruction with real‑world applications and practitioner perspectives.
Additional Information
  • Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position – Campus:
  • In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment and $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience.
  • Actual pay may be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
