Part - Time Instructor, Engineering Technology - FY2026 Job Description

The responsibilities of a Part Time Engineering Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:

• Lecture and/or Lab instruction for Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, and/or Technical Physics courses.
• Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions.
• Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives.
• Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes; make necessary provisions to meet learning needs.
• Provide advisement to students.
• Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested.

• 5 years of work-related experience.
• OR Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree.

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University.
• 1 year full-time teaching experience.
• Experience working with a diverse and multicultural student body and/or workforce.
• Knowledge of computer classroom technologies.
• Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems.

Engineering Technology courses are taught at North Las Vegas, Henderson, and Western Campuses, in‑person/online, and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends.

$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
