Assistant Professor-In-Residence, Neuroscience
The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty member (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall, 2027. The primary responsibilities for this position are the instruction of undergraduate courses for our neuroscience major (e.g., cellular and molecular/cognitive neuroscience) as well as foundational and upper-division psychology courses, including capstone.

Further, the Department seeks dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with a Ph.D. in psychology or neuroscience or related discipline, a commitment to undergraduate education, substantial teaching experience (including online teaching), and a willingness to work with a program coordinator for purposes of assessment and quality control.
The Department has 40 full-time faculty members, a B.A. program in Psychology, a B.S. program in Neuroscience, a B.S. program in Children's Behavioral Health Psychology, an APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, a Ph.D. program in Psychological and Brain Sciences with cognitive, developmental, and quantitative/social/community areas of study, and is affiliated with a campus-wide interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D. program.
This position requires a Ph.D. in psychology or neuroscience or related discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and substantial teaching experience (including online teaching. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. ABD candidates will be considered.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
