The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track teaching faculty member (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall 2027. This role primarily focuses on instruction of undergraduate courses in the neuroscience major, including cellular and molecular and cognitive neuroscience, as well as foundational and upper‑division psychology courses, including capstone. Career advancement opportunities are available with evidence of ongoing professional development and service contributions.
Responsibilities- Instruction of undergraduate neuroscience and psychology courses, including capstone projects.
- Work with the program coordinator for assessment and quality control.
- Active participation in departmental and university teaching and research initiatives.
- Contribute to an inclusive learning environment welcoming faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Substantial teaching experience, including online teaching (ABD candidates considered).
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Commitment to undergraduate education and enthusiasm for teaching.
