Overview
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a Coordinator/Senior Coordinator for Student Organizations. The role reports to the Senior Associate Director for Student Organizations and Fraternity & Sorority Life within the Student Involvement & Activities office.
Responsibilities- Provides continuous services, structure, guidance, and resources to support over 470 Registered Student Organizations (RSOs).
- Manages the RSO registration process for new and returning organizations.
- Oversees operations of the Student Organization Resource Center (SORCE).
- Provides consultations and trainings for student leaders on RSO functions, university resources, policies, and applicable laws.
- Ensures services and programs are executed within budget and assessed for impact.
- Forms collaborative partnerships, manages risk, and markets programs to appeal to a commuter student population.
- Serves as office point of contact for elevated RSO issues and as a member of the Student Free Expressive Response Team (Senior Coordinator role).
- Assists with reviewing and editing guiding documents such as the RSO Manual and mandatory training curriculum (Senior Coordinator role).
- Conducts and analyzes overall RSO assessments (Senior Coordinator role).
- Works some evenings and weekends as required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant full‑time experience or 9 months as a graduate assistant.
- Experience with student organizations and leadership development.
- For the Senior Coordinator, at least four years of relevant full‑time post‑bachelor experience or two years of post‑master full‑time experience, plus advising and supervising student staff experience.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience advising student organizations and managing registration process.
- Experience with Engage student organization database management platform.
- Event planning experience.
- Effective staff supervision skills.
- Vendor coordination, expense tracking, and budgeting experience.
- Assessment of student needs and outcomes.
- Experience working with commuter student populations.
- Experience with student organizations.
- Facilitation of leadership training for students and/or organizations.
- Marketing programs and involvement to appeal to students.
- Presentation skills; effective verbal and written communication; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Application of student development and leadership theory and research into practice.
- Positive working relationships with students, staff, and faculty.
- Autonomous work style and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Analytical thinking and solution development.
- High degree of student contact.
- Experience advising student organizations.
- Experience with student organization registration process.
- Experience with Engage student organization database management platform.

Salary- Coordinator: $55,254 – $57,717.
- Senior Coordinator: $61,340 – $64,346.
