Part-Time Instructors for Surveying and Geomatics

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking part-time instructors to teach Surveying and Geomatics (SUR) courses, primarily in an on-ground format. Teaching assignments will include college-level Surveying and Geomatics courses, based on departmental needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Teach college-level courses in the field.
• Develop syllabi and course materials in accordance with college policy.
• Maintain records, submit grades, and communicate with department and college personnel using established college/department protocol and college's learning management system.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
• Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County.
• Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.

Required Qualifications

• An active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
• Three or more years experience in the field of Land Surveying.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.

Salary

$925.00 per credit hour. Courses/Credits assigned may vary by semester.
