Overview
Professional Development Manager, Faculty Affairs, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. The incumbent will serve as an administrative liaison to the Senior Associate Dean, supporting efforts to empower faculty by coordinating and leading projects, including delivering training focused on professional development and continuing education. The position delivers programming via hybrid platforms, creates evaluation tools, compiles evaluation results, and provides leadership with metrics on the delivered program quality and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Design, coordinate, and execute professional development programs for faculty, staff, and administrators in areas related to leadership development, teaching skills, organizational effectiveness, personal and organizational growth, and continuing education.
- Lead and manage program design and execution with autonomous, critical thinking and judgment.
- Support CME-related professional development programming in collaboration with the CME Director and CME Manager.
- Assist in managing the professional development budget within the Office of Faculty Affairs.
- Deliver programming via hybrid platforms and develop evaluation tools.
- Compile evaluation results and provide leadership with metrics on program quality and outcomes.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in program/project management or commensurate additional experience.
- One (1) year of management experience.
- Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements:
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four additional years of relevant experience, or an associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
- For positions requiring a master’s degree, acceptable equivalents include:
- Six additional years of relevant experience.
- A bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
- An associate degree plus four additional years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree in education, instructional design, organizational behavior, public health, or a related field.
- Experience in professional development, training, adult learning, organizational development, or a closely related field, including program design and delivery.
- Experience in higher education or academic medicine.
