Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Psychology​/Honors R0152296

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Psychology/Honors (R0152296). The position is a full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track teaching faculty member beginning Fall 2027. The role reports to both the Honors College and the Department of Psychology and includes teaching responsibilities, curriculum development, student mentorship, and service contributions.

• Teach HON 201 (Honors General Psychology) and 400‑level interdisciplinary honors seminars rooted in psychology.
• Develop and instruct undergraduate courses in children’s mental health as part of the newly approved B.S. program in Children’s Behavioral Health Psychology (topics include youth assessment, health promotion, addictions, intervention practices, ethics, and inclusive practices).
• Contribute to curriculum development, mentorship, and quality‑control processes in partnership with a program coordinator.
• Engage in faculty service and activities related to the Honors College and the Department of Psychology.

• Ph.D. in psychology or a related discipline from an accredited institution (ABD candidates considered).
• Substantial undergraduate teaching experience, including online instruction.
• Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and willingness to collaborate on curriculum and assessment.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
