Saltman Center Associate Director/Assistant Professor in Residence, William S. Boyd School of Law [R0150548]
University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV), Full‑time, 12‑month academic faculty position, located in Las Vegas.
Job Overview: Lead the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution as Associate Director and serve as Assistant Professor‑in‑Residence, teaching, advising, program administration, and public outreach, while not required to conduct scholarly research.
Responsibilities:
- Teach and advise law students in a diverse curriculum at Boyd School of Law.
- Develop, implement, and administer professional education programs, including certificate offerings.
- Supervise and coach teams in regional and national dispute‑resolution competitions.
- Build and maintain public education initiatives such as CLE programs, lectures, and conference events.
- Collaborate with faculty and administrators across the law school and campus in program coordination.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a JD, earned before start date.
- At least 10 years of dispute‑resolution practice and 7–9 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Academic and practice experience in ADR, strong record, and familiarity with legal practice.
- Completed diverse ADR training and certifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ADR practitioner and third‑party neutral.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage programs with teams and independently.
- Experience coordinating with law‑school and campus administrators.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching, training, mentoring experience, including structured feedback.
- Knowledge of ADR processes and their interaction with formal legal systems.
- Understanding of budgeting, resource allocation for new programs.
- Experience managing projects and supervising teams.
