Job Title
Teaching college-level courses in the field of American Sign Language and Deafness.
Core Responsibilities:- Teaching college-level courses in the field of American Sign Language and Deafness.
- Develop syllabi and course materials.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
- Provide excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
- Courses taught at multiple campuses in Clark County.
- Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.
- BA from a regionally accredited college or university. Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Deafness related field) from a regionally accredited College or University.
- Documented and demonstrated American Sign Language competencies at an advanced level.
- Experience teaching in ASL.
- Master's Degree.
- Experience working with interactive language laboratories.
- ASTLA certification (American Sign Language Teachers Association).
- RID interpreter certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf).
$925.00 per credit for lecture per semester. Courses/Credits assigned may vary by semester.
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
