Part‑Time Instructor, JUMPSTART – Biology – FY 2027
CSN is looking for part‑time instructors to teach Biology courses through the CSN Jump Start Program at a high school in the Clark County School District (CCSD). Teaching assignments will involve college‑level Biology courses.
This course includes a lab and provides an introduction to biology with emphasis on human concerns. Topics cover organism structure, function, ecology, and evolution, offering a biological perspective on modern societal issues. The course satisfies the lab science general education requirement.
Required QualificationsApplicants must be pre‑approved by the Department of Biological Science and the Dual Credit & Early College Program before submitting an application in Workday. Applications from individuals who have not been pre‑approved will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications- Biological science or an MS degree in Biology or a closely related discipline such as Zoology.
- The MS degree must include research leading to a thesis or dissertation (in the case of a Ph.D.). Master of Arts and Master of Education degrees that do not involve research are typically not acceptable.
