Part - Time Instructor, Biology - FY 2027 Job Description

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to the volume of applications received.

• Teach transferable, entry‑level lectures and/or laboratories in majors or non‑majors biology
• Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes

• Master's degree in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
• Experience teaching General Biology lectures
• Ability to use educational technologies such as learning management systems and Power Point
• Ability and willingness to use email for official communications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
• Experience teaching General Biology labs or experience in a laboratory situation
• Ability to use educational technologies such as learning management systems and Power Point
• Ability and willingness to use email for official communications

$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester. $57.81 per hour for labs.
