Part‑Time Instructor – Air Conditioning Technology (FY2027)
Applications will be considered on an as‑needed basis determined by course availability.
Responsibilities- Lecture and Lab instruction for Air Conditioning Technology courses
- Develop syllabi, lesson plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development
- Background and experience in courses taught
- EPA Section 608 certification
- Current HVAC Excellence, NATE or ICE certifications
- 10 years of service experience in the Air Conditioning Industry
- Knowledge of residential and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, gas furnaces, essential plant operations, and building systems operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to act effectively as a member of a team
- Self‑starter, creative, goal‑oriented and organized
- AAS in Air Conditioning Technology or similar
- Experience teaching in a community college setting
- Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
- Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Course assignments may be day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
Salary InformationUS $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
