Part‑Time Instructor, Continuing Education – DWED – FY2027 Job Description Core Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Teaching assignments.
• Classes run 4‑8 weeks, 1‑2 days a week, 2 to 3 hours each class at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Classes are typically held during evening hours;
  Saturday classes are available during morning hours.

• Meeting and assisting students outside of class time.
• Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
• Student‑centered listening, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with adult education administration and student services.
• Organizational and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Maintain a sign‑in sheet, record attendance, and maintain a pass/fail grade report for students per class.

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and experience teaching.

Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
