Part-Time Instructor, Microbiology – FY 2027
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or due to volume of applications received.
Core Responsibilities- Teach transferable, entry-level Microbiology lectures and/or laboratories
- Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- MS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience teaching Microbiology lectures
- Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and Power Point
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
- BS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience teaching Microbiology labs or experience in a laboratory situation
- Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and Power Point
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
$57.81 hourly for labs.
