Part-Time Instructor, Filipino - World Languages - FY2027
This position is for a part-time faculty instructor in Filipino (World Languages) for FY2027. The role is for teaching college-level courses within the Filipino language program across multiple campuses in Clark County.
Core Responsibilities- Teach college-level Filipino courses
- Develop syllabi and course materials
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development
- Courses taught at multiple campuses in Clark County
- Be available to teach day, evening, and/or weekend courses
- Master's degree in Filipino or Tagalog Language or Literature, Linguistics or Second Language acquisition from a regionally accredited college or university
- Experience teaching Filipino in higher education
- Experience with computer-assisted instruction and interactive laboratories
$925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
Benefits and Additional InformationExempt position. Full-time equivalent: 10.0%.
No reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided. No minimum course load is guaranteed. Teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon enrollment and departmental need.
The position may require a criminal background check for selected candidate.
