Job DescriptionThis position is a part‑time teaching role in Machine Tool Technology (MTT) courses, primarily taught at the CSNHenderson Campus and the City of Henderson Debra March Center of Excellence. The instructor will deliver both lecture and lab instruction and provide related support to students.
Responsibilities- Lecture and/or lab instruction for Machine Tool Technology (MTT) courses covering topics such as:
- Metrology
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Machining
- CNC Milling and Turning (Lathe)
- CADD and Additive or Subtractive Manufacturing
- Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions
- Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives
- Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
- Make necessary provisions to meet learning needs
- Provide advisement to students
- Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested
- Associate of Applied Science degree in Machining or a related engineering field
- OR 5 years of relevant industry experience
- 10 years work experience in Machining and or Manufacturing or Industrial Technologies
- 2 years experience teaching in Career and Technical Education
- Leadership/Management experience
- Experience teaching online/hybrid classes, Canvas
- Experience creating college curriculum
- Experience developing an industrial lab in a college setting, such as a Machining, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Technologies program
- Experience working in diverse multicultural situations
- Community college or technical school teaching experience
- Excellent presentation skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Industrial Certifications such as NIMS, NC3
Courses will be scheduled in-person during the day, evenings, and/or weekends.
Salary Information$925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
