Job Overview

Fall 2026 Library Associate – CSN Libraries (Charleston Campus).

Work hours:

up to 20.0 hours per week. Hourly pay: $14.00.

• Answering and transferring calls on a multi‑line phone.
• Maintaining cleanliness of library space.
• Data entry and minor troubleshooting of computers, printers, and copiers.
• Assisting walk‑in students.
• Organizing library materials on/off the main library floor.
• Helping with circulation of materials in/out of the library.
• Completing additional duties as assigned.

• Required:
• Computer experience.
• Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed.
• Ability to push heavy book carts up to, but not limited to, 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Must be a student who has completed this year’s FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their financial aid package.
• Preferred:
• Customer service skills.
• Friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
