Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Financial Aid Processing Analyst, UNLV Financial Aid [R0152149]
ROLE of the POSITIONReporting to the Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid Processing and the Processing Coordinator, this position is responsible for carrying out the many processes surrounding packaging, awarding, troubleshooting and clean-up of Federal and State grants and Federal and Private loans on student accounts.
This position processes awards and changes to awards from receipt of application (either electronic or paper) to completion in People Soft and SFA. The Processing Analyst also resolves issues with financial aid processes as escalated by various constituents and through case management in Sales Force (SF) or queries and reports from People Soft (PS) or SFA.
This individual also attends outreach activities where they can meet 1:1 with prospective and current students and parents, explain financial aid processes and review student accounts for eligibility and award status.

With administrative faculty positions, some evening and weekend work may be necessary and there may be occasional travel.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 - 3 years Related Professional Experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
Other Educational Requirement Or EquivalencyDegree must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Employee must not be in over payment or default status for any Federal Student Aid program or award.
