** Blended Learning Teacher Assistant*
* ** Job Description
**** General Purpose of the Position
** The Blended Learning Teacher Assistant (BLTA), under the supervision of administration and collaborating teachers, provides instructional support, student monitoring, and targeted interventions to support student success in both in-person and online learning environments. The BLTA works directly with students in small group and one-on-one settings to reinforce instruction, promote engagement, and support progress toward course completion and graduation.

This role supports the implementation of the school’s blended learning model by assisting students with coursework in Canvas (LMS), monitoring progress, and helping address barriers related to attendance, behavior, and academic performance. The BLTA collaborates with teachers, counselors, and student support teams to ensure students receive appropriate interventions aligned with MTSS and PBIS frameworks.

The BLTA provides instructional support and student monitoring but does not serve as the teacher of record or hold responsibility for grading, curriculum design, or final instructional decisions.

** 10-month contract in accordance with the Contract of Employment.
** Salary:
** In alignment with the BANV Governing Board-approved salary schedule based on experience and education.

** Salary Range:** $12 - $25.00 (

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
**** Instructional Support & Student Engagement
*** Provide direct instructional support to students in small group and one-on-one settings.
* Assist students with coursework in Canvas (LMS), including assignments, pacing, and task completion.
* Reinforce teacher-directed instruction and support student understanding of academic content.
* Ensure students remain engaged, on-task, and actively participating in learning activities.
* Support students in developing effective study habits, organization, and time management skills.
** Student Progress Monitoring & Intervention
*** Monitor student progress daily and identify students who are off-track academically.
* Provide targeted interventions and support aligned to teacher guidance and MTSS frameworks.
* Support implementation of Academic Seminar, including progress monitoring, goal setting, and use of tools such as STEP cards.
* Communicate student concerns related to academic performance, attendance, or behavior to teachers, department teams, and administration.
** Classroom Management & School Culture
*** Support a positive, structured, and academically focused learning environment.
* Assist in implementing classroom procedures and behavioral expectations.
* Support implementation of School-Wide Positive Behavior Supports (SWPBS) and PBIS strategies.
* Use school systems to monitor and document student behavior and progress.
* Provide redirection and support to students as needed to maintain a safe and productive environment.
* Assist in school-wide test/assessment administration
** Collaboration & Communication
*** Maintain open communication with teachers, administration, counselors, and support staff.
* Communicate with students and families, as appropriate, to support student success and remove barriers to learning.
* Collaborate with attendance, counseling, and social services teams to support student interventions.
** Data Systems & Record Keeping
*** Maintain accurate records related to student attendance, progress, participation, and interventions.
* Utilize school systems (e.g., Canvas, Infinite Campus, or other tools) to monitor and support student performance.
* Follow all school policies and procedures related to data entry, documentation, and reporting.
** Health, Safety & School Operations
*** Follow school safety procedures and protocols.
