The Business Department supports student learning and professional development through academic programs, experiential learning opportunities, and engagement with the business community.

Position

Description:

The Business Department seeks a motivated Federal Work Study student to support the Business Venture Program through digital marketing, content creation, and community engagement. The student will gain hands-on experience supporting real entrepreneurial ventures, collaborating with faculty, staff, student entrepreneurs, and community partners while building a professional portfolio.

This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties:

* Photograph Business Department events and entrepreneurial activities

* Capture and edit short-form video content

* Create Instagram Reels, Stories, graphics, and promotional materials

* Assist with content planning, scheduling, and publishing

* Write captions and marketing copy

* Interview students, faculty, alumni, and community partners

* Organize digital media assets

* Support marketing campaigns and community outreach

* Assist with entrepreneurship events and business showcases

* Develop the aptitude to create and maintain a professional marketing portfolio through hands-on project experience

* Gain practical experience in social media strategy, branding, photography, videography, and project management

* Strengthen communication, collaboration, and professional skills by working with faculty, staff, student entrepreneurs, and community partners

* The work experience within our department supports the operational needs of the department.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Interest in Marketing, Communications, Business, Entrepreneurship, Journalism, Photography, or Graphic Design

* Strong communication and organizational skills

* Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, Cap Cut, Adobe Express, or willingness to learn
