Part-Time Art Instructor

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking part-time Art instructors to teach courses within the Department of Fine Arts, Art Program. Teaching assignments may include a variety of courses such as Drawing, Painting, Design, Ceramics, and Digital Imaging. Courses may be offered in various formats, including 8-16 week sessions, with class schedules ranging from 1-2 days per week and instruction provided at CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Core Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Art courses for which the instructor is qualified.
• Deliver instruction through classroom and/or online teaching formats as assigned.
• Participate in regularly scheduled instructional meetings and professional development activities.
• Complete and submit required instructional documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Be available to teach morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekend courses based on scheduling needs.
• Support student learning and engagement through effective instructional practices.

Required Qualifications

• Master of Fine Arts degree in art or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience teaching preferred but not required.

Salary

$925.00 per lecture credit hour and $57.81 per lab/clinic (where applicable). Credits will vary by semester.
