Librarian

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Nepali Librarian to join our team in Las Vegas. As a librarian you will be responsible for organizing and managing the librarys collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and programs. This is a contract position without accommodation but offers competitive compensation of 1100$ per month

• Organize and maintain the librarys collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials and other resources
• Assist patrons with research and reference requests providing guidance on how to access information
• Plan and promote library programs and events to increase community engagement
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to expand library services
• Train new staff members on library systems and procedures
• Keep accurate records of library transactions such as borrowing materials or collecting fines
• Stay updated on new technologies and resources in the field of librarianship

• Native or fluent proficiency in Nepali language
• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field
• Previous experience working as a librarian or in a similar role preferred
• Knowledge of current library practices, principles and procedures
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist diverse populations
• Proficient computer skills including knowledge of library management systems
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
