Do you love working with teens and sharing your passion for Judaism? The Judy & Ron Mack School of Religious Studies at Temple Beth Sholom, is looking for an enthusiastic Judaica teacher to join our religious school team on Sundays from 8:30AM – 12:30PM.

We are a caring community with a great atmosphere — supportive staff, engaged families, and students who keep things fun. If you love connecting with teens and bringing Jewish learning to life, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

• Teach Judaica to a fun group of 7th–9th graders — holidays, Torah, history, the arts, music, Jewish cooking, ethics, tikkun olam, Jewish identity activities and more! The curriculum is designed to welcome your creativity!
• Bring energy and creativity to the classroom (discussion, activities, projects — that is captivating and engaging for teens!)
• Build genuine relationships with students during a key time in their Jewish journey
• Join a friendly, collaborative teaching team

What We're Looking For:

• Someone who genuinely enjoys teens — their humor, their questions, their honesty
• A Judaica background and teaching experience (i.e., classroom, camp, or other settings)
• Positive, upbeat energy and reliable
• Background check required

Schedule:

Sunday mornings, 8:30AM – 12:30PM (3 hr. class + 30minutes before & after class)

23 Sundays per semester beginning on August 23rd

Off on all major Jewish & Federal holidays

Compensation: $42.00/hour
