We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Middle School Science Teacher to join our boys team at Yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas. This is a part
-time position, with classes taking place in the afternoon. As a student-centered school, we provide excellence in Torah learning, academia, character development, and life skills to empower our students to become active and impactful members of their communities. As a Middle School Science Teacher at Yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas, you will be responsible for teaching science to boys in grades 6-8. Your primary focus will be on creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. You will also be expected to collaborate with other teachers to develop curriculum, assess student progress, and provide individualized support to students.
Responsibilities:- Teach science courses to students in grades 6-8, including biology, chemistry, and physics
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop curriculum and assess student learning
- Provide individualized support to students who require extra attention
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in science education
