Part - Time Instructor, EMS - FY 2027 Job Description

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) emergency medical services(EMS) instructor must meet the qualifications of the Southern Nevada Health Department guidelines and the requirements established by the State of Nevada.
The college professor/instructor teaches in discipline areas inwhich he or she has specific training and competence. As such, theinstructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that encourages academic growth. He or she also promotes and directs successful student learning in keeping with the learning-centered values and goals of the school.
Organizational RelationshipsThe Part
- Time EMS Instructor reports to the EMS Program Director within the School of Health Sciences, as well as the Department Chair, and the Dean of Health Sciences
- Teach a maximum of 9 instructional units per academic year, notto include summer semester.
- Spend a minimum of 10 hours per week on class preparation andcurriculum revision/development
- Must spend at least 5 hours per week on average on professional development and/or service as specified by the Faculty Evaluation Policy.
- Faculty may teach up to 9 instructional units during the summersemester.
- Follow all program and school policies and procedures andensure the student body is aware of and follows all program andschool policies.
- Maintain all course records (syllabi, outlines, grades,attendance, etc.)
Varies may include weekends and evenings
Salary Information$925.00 Per Instructional Unit. $57.81 Per Hour for Labs and Clinicals
