Job Description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teaching college-level courses in the field of American Sign Language and Deafness.
• Develop syllabi and course materials.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required bycourse outcomes.
• Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as studentadvisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
• Courses taught at multiple campuses in Clark County.
• Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekendcourses.

• BA from a regionally accredited college or university.
  
  Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Deafness related field) from a regionally accredited College or University.
• Documented and demonstrated American Sign Language competenciesat an advanced level.
• Experience teaching in ASL.

• Master's Degree.
• Experience working with interactive languagelaboratories.
• ASLTA certification (American Sign Language Teachers Association).
• RID Certification (Registry of Interpreters for theDeaf).

• $925.00 per credit for lecture per semester. Courses/Creditsassigned may vary by semester.
