Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Custodial Worker 1, Facilities Management [R0153422]
ROLE of the POSITIONCustodial workers provide general building maintenance services for assigned facilities consisting of offices, classrooms, conference areas, special event centers and other facilities.
This position is required to work a non-standard work week*.
- Main Shift (most custodians): 6:00pm to 2:30am Monday night through Saturday morning.
- Library Crew:
Monday
-Sunday 7:30 pm to 4:00 am including weekends. Days off will be during the week. - Weekend Crew:
Monday
- Friday they will work 6:00 pm to 2:30 AM and on Saturday and Sunday they will work 7:30 pm to 4:00 AM

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSGraduation from high school or equivalent education and six months of custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial, industrial, hospital, governmental or similar environment.

SALARYGrade 21, Step 1, salary $38,419.20.
In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade. A “Step” refers to the specific rate of pay within a grade, as determined by the Division of Human Resources.
