Job DescriptionThe University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Space Planning Analyst or Senior Space Planning Analyst in the Office of Space Management. This role supports Planning & Construction in managing accurate AutoCAD drawings of UNLV owned and leased spaces, coordinating changes with key stakeholders, updating Archibus Integrated Workplace Space Management software, and implementing GIS for campus space management.
Role of the PositionThe successful candidate will assist in developing space plans, managing small campus moves, collaborating on occupancy loads, scheduling and conducting Building Surveys, managing Archibus user security, and providing customer support. Senior responsibilities include developing FICM standards, coordinating large moves and projects, overseeing review surveys, and representing the Office on university committees.
Key Responsibilities Data & Drawing Management- Support Planning & Construction in maintaining accurate AutoCAD drawings of UNLV owned and leased spaces.
- Coordinate changes with stakeholders (P&C, FM, RMS, Registrar’s Office, Real Estate).
- Update Archibus data, determining room categories per FICM and UNLV standards.
- Assist in developing space plans that maximize utilization.
- Coordinate and manage small moves across campus.
- Collaborate with P&C, RMS, FM, Registrar’s Office on occupancy load and station counts.
- Schedule, conduct, and approve Building Surveys to assess space utilization.
- Manage security access process for Archibus within Salesforce.
- Schedule and conduct introductory training sessions on Archibus Web Central for staff.
- Handle departmental communications (phone inquiries, emails).
- Provide customer service support and update website content.
- Manage building resource room signage.
- Create and update Process Documentation.
- Generate simple reports and floor plans as requested.
- Assist with data collection for the Facility & Administration Survey (every 3‑5 years).
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Develop FICM standards and interpretations for campus room categories and gross square footage.
- Ensure integration of Workday supervisory organization structure with Archibus department organization.
- Coordinate and manage large moves and small projects on campus.
- Accept and oversee Building Surveys.
- Schedule, train, conduct, review, and accept Departmental Review Surveys.
- Support the University Space Committee and represent the Office on various committees.
- Provide technical support for Archibus Integrated Workplace Management Software.
- Facilitate and support space reporting requests, serving as the primary contact during the F&A Survey data collection.
- Understanding of higher education systems and organizational structure.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and maintain a productive, service‑oriented attitude.
- Self‑motivated, team‑oriented.
- Requires on‑site building verification of floor plans (walking, stairs).
- Demonstrated critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- 3 years of experience (credentials must be obtained before employment start date).
- Experience with Archibus or similar space‑management systems.
- Basic understanding of space‑management principles and reporting.
- Familiarity with the Facilities Inventory Classification Manual (FICM).
- Proficiency in the Google platform.
- Skills in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Experience with Esri GIS software.
